No ads. No tracking. No analytics. No third-party telemetry. Flightstead connects directly to the server you choose and does not send your publishing activity back to the app developer.
What the developer collects
Nothing through the Flightstead app. I do not receive your posts, photographs, drafts, profile information, server address, email address, authentication details, or app-usage history.
If you choose to email for support, I receive the information you put in that email and use it to respond. Please do not send passwords, login codes, API keys, private posts, or unredacted server logs.
What the app stores and sends
Flightstead keeps the minimum information needed to work with your chosen server:
- Your server address and authentication information are stored securely on your device.
- Drafts and pending uploads may remain on your device until you publish or remove them.
- Posts, photographs, profile information, and other content you choose to publish are sent directly to the Flightstead server you configured.
None of this is copied or reported to the app developer.
Camera and photo access
The camera is used only when you choose to scan a server-pairing QR code. Your photo library is accessed only when you select photographs to publish. Flightstead does not scan or upload the rest of your library.
Your self-hosted server
Your chosen server receives and stores the information you send to it. Its operator controls storage, logs, backups, retention, security, and deletion. If you run the server yourself, those choices are yours. If someone else operates it for you, consult that operator's privacy information.
Optional tips and Apple
Optional tips are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Flightstead verifies purchases on the device. I do not receive or store your payment-card information. Apple's handling of purchase and App Store information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
This website
Flightstead.com is a static website. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or cookies set by Flightstead.
